## THE VISION of “TORI”
When the great flood threatened to destroy all life, Noah built an ark—a sanctuary that preserved every species so life could continue.
Today, we face a different kind of extinction: the disappearance of languages silenced by violence, the erasure of irreplaceable cultural heritage like Bengal’s Kobir Lorai, the unheard suffering of domestic violence survivors, and the silent cries of men trapped in their pain.
The need for an Ark has never been greater.
Tori—inspired from the Bengali “যে বা যারা বা যা কিছু বিপন্ন” (that which is endangered)—is that Ark. We are an institution dedicated to sheltering, protecting, and nurturing the vulnerable back to life and prosperity.
## OUR HISTORY
Saraswati Bhandar and Urjaa came together to align their strengths to create Tori
## OUR MISSION
We protect what the world is in danger of losing.
From endangered demographics to vanishing heritage. From threatened ways of life to species facing extinction. From silenced voices to forgotten traditions. If it’s vulnerable, Tori provides sanctuary.
